New York, NY – June 3, 2024 – CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, today announced that Joe Sjoholm, CPA has joined the firm as an assurance partner in its Private Equity practice. Based in in the New York metro area, Sjoholm has more than two decades of experience providing accounting and assurance services to a range of private equity and alternative investment firms including small business investment companies (SBICs).

Sjoholm has extensive experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, structuring engagements, incentive and partnership allocations, and equity and debt valuations of public and private investments inclusive of portfolio companies. He is also knowledgeable in waterfall and distribution models, purchase accounting, and managing international audits involving foreign subsidiaries. Sjoholm has advised clients ranging from $25 million of Assets Under Management (AUM) to those with more than $5 billion of AUM.

Before joining CohnReznick, Sjoholm was an audit partner in a major assurance, tax, and consulting firm. He earned a BS, Accounting, from St. John’s University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
