More than 20 years of diversified public accounting experience with an extensive background in providing audit, tax, and consulting services to clients in the alternative investment industry
Specializes in working with private equity funds, private equity fund of funds, venture capital funds, and investment advisors, including funds with capital commitments ranging from $20 million to $1 billion
Expertise includes investment strategies such as leveraged buyouts, venture capital, real estate, distressed investments, mezzanine capital, and royalty opportunities
Has experience analyzing clients’ determination of fair value of debt and equity investments in a range of industries
Advises clients in the fund’s initial organizational structure and documentation and consults with managers regarding operational and regulatory best practices
Prior to joining CohnReznick, Cheryl was a managing director in the alternative investment practice group of a Big 4 firm
Was previously a senior manager at a regional financial services-focused firm specializing in private equity and other alternative investment companies
Helped to develop best practices pertaining to the private equity industry and provided in-house training programs to staff at all levels
