Raza Ashfaq, CPA, is a Partner in CohnReznick’s Financial Services and Financial Sponsors Industry practice. Raza leads the Financial Services and Financial Sponsors assurance practice in Boston. He has over 17 years of diversified public accounting experience with extensive experience providing audit and assurance services to alternative investment companies including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, and fund of funds. 

In addition to providing audit and other assurance services, Raza provides advice on fund start up issues including organizational structure, economic and tax issues, seeding arrangements, general business consultation, reviewing/providing comments on legal documents of alternative investment companies, and guiding his clients around best practices. 

Raza regularly authors and co-authors thought leadership on various topics related to alternative investment companies. Raza began his career at a regional financial services focused firm specializing in hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital, and other alternative investment companies.
